Landscape Pattern Change in Zhalong National Nature Reserve
Zhalong National Nature Reserve (46°52′N-47°32′N,123°47′E-124°37′E) is located in the west part of Heilongjiang province. Using interpretation of TM images in 1989 and 1999 and CBERS images in 2006, the landscape pattern change in Zhalong National Nature Reserve was analyzed by GIS in this study. The area of the Reserve is 2 100 km~2. The landscape indices such as fragment index, fractal dimension and the diversity indexes, etc. were calculated and analyzed. The results showed that Phragmites australis marsh was the landscape base and it controlled the matter and energy transfer and flow, the areas of marsh were 1 279.3 km~2, 1 250.9 km~2 and 1 238.4 km~2 in 1989, 1999 and 2006 in Zhalong National Nature Reserve, respectively; the landscape was in fragmentation and the biodiversity declined in the Reserve during 1989-2006; the main conversion of the landscape components were grassland into cultivated land, marsh into cultivated land and marsh into saline;the lanscape became complicated in the Reserve.
