The urban wetlands are important part of modern urban ecosystem.The urban wetlands have important ecological functions of regulating micro-climate,alleviate environmental pollution etc.However,during the urbanization process,the irrational development and construction have resulted in massive destruction of the urban wetlands and degradation of their functions.To the city's ecological environment optimization,the healthy urban wetland ecosystem plays a key role.Therefore,how to guarantee the safety of the urban wetland ecological system has become an important content of the researches on the wetland.This article summarized the research progress of the urban wetlands in China and analyzes the research methods and contents,from the following five aspects:the spatial and temporal variation situation of the urban wetlands,the services of the urban wetlands,the ecological value assessment of the urban wetlands,and the planning management and restoration and protection of the urban wetlands.The problems occurred in the researches of the urban wetlands were pointed out,and the future research direction was proposed.
