Spatio-temporal Variations and Ecological Risks of Antibiotic Occurrence in Urban Wetlands of Xining,Qinghai Province
In March and July 2022,the concentrations of 16 typical antibiotics in the surface water of four urban wetlands in Xining,Qinghai, were tested by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, and the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of the antibiotics as well as the potential ecological risks were further explored and analyzed. It comes out that the distribution of antibiotics in the urban wetland surface water was significantly different between March and July.Precisely,in March,16 antibiotics were detected, with the average concentration ranging from 0.18 to 164.15 ng/L,and in July,6 antibiotics were detected, with the average concentration ranging from 0.15 to 43.22 ng/L.The spatial distribution was affected by human activities. There was a significant positive correlation between norfloxacin concentration and chemical oxygen demand. The fleroxacin concentration was correlated positively with that of phosphorus total content.Ofloxacin concentration was also correlated positively with total phosphorus and nitrogen content.Antibiotic pollution is affected by water quality indicators. The risk quotient values of ofloxacin, norfloxacin, and ciprofloxacin in March were 108.04,5.02 and 4.90,respectively,with possibility of high level of ecological risk, and identically the ofloxacin presents high ecological risk in July, with value of 26.59.Other antibiotics were medium risk, low risk and no risk.
