The present paper, looking back the history,in which the U.S.invited the UK to build a common eco-nomic front launching a trade embargo on China in 1949 and this front was finally set up with the U.S.'s heavy hand in its aggressive war against Korea, points out that, due to differing goals and interests,Washington and London regimes could not reach consensus on issues such as the embargo on Hong Kong and eventually the UK broke this front as its economic interests were damaged.
