The present paper,saying Dudu,area commander-in-chief or high imperial commissioner,was a post based on generalship and it did not have necessary connection with the concurrent super/prefectship,ob-serves that Emperor Wu of Southern Song(r.502-549)abolished Chijie(Warrant-Bearing)Dudu,a general term for nine groups of first-tier high officials with second grade,in stipulating rules regarding generalship and this simplification effort directly affected the gradation of concurrent super/prefectship.
