Trade Structure and Environmental Pollution——From the Perspective of New Structural Economics
Based on the new perspective of new structural economics,this paper constructs a new theoretical framework of trade and environment in the process of structural change,and obtains many new views.The results show that(1)trade structure has different impacts on environmental pollution at different stages of economic development.(2)The environmental pollution effect of the internal change of trade structure in economic development shows an inverted U-shaped trend of first strengthening and then weakening.(3)When the production structure with comparative advantage is determined by the factor endowment structure,the distortion of trade structure aggravates pollution emission intensity,but the impact on environmental pollution emission depends on the production structure at different stages of development;The change of trade structure and pollution emission intensity are U-shaped.(4)The same trade structure produces different pollution emission intensity under different production structure states.(5)Under the distorted production structure caused by the heavy industry catch-up strategy,the trade structure matching the production structure dominated by heavy industry will aggravate environmental pollution.
