Preparation of graphene-supported ZnO photocatalyst and its performance in degradation of dye wastewater
A series of graphene(GE)supported ZnO photocatalysts were prepared by sol-gel method. The synthesized catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffractometer and ultraviolet-visible diffuse re-flectance spectrometer. The effects of light source,ZnO/GE mass ratio, photocatalyst dosage and dye wastewater concentration on the performance of the catalysts were investigated. The results showed that the growth of ZnO on the crystal surface of GE was complete and the crystallinity of the catalysts was good. The use of GE increased the photoquantum ef-ficiency of ZnO.Under the optimal conditions of ul-traviolet light,ZnO/GE mass ratio of 0.5,catalyst dosage(mass fraction of the reaction system)of 4%,and dye wastewater concentration of 15 mg/L,the dye degradation rate was as high as 84%.
