Treatment for petrochemical wastewater by ozone oxidation-biological filter coupling process
In order to solve the problem that the chemical oxygen demand(COD)of petrochemical wastewater was difficult to be reduced below 60 mg/L by the traditional treatment process, the coupling process of ozone oxidation and biological filter was added to the biochemical treatment unit, and the wastewater in a petrochemical industrial park was further treated. The effects of the process on the COD removal rate and ozone oxidation efficiency were in-vestigated.The results showed that ozone oxidation-biological filter coupling process improved the chance of oxidative degradation of macromolecular organic matter in wastewater by ozone, with an aver-age COD removal rate of 63%and a maximum re-moval rate up to 75%.The effluent COD was stable below 30 mg/L,meeting the local ultra-clean dis-charge standard. The mean ozone oxidation efficien-cy was 1.1,which was much higher than that of the ozone oxidation process alone.
