The reason why the construction of new liberal arts has been proposed and received national support and academic concern is fundamentally to answer the original question of"what kind of people we need to cultivate"in the new era.The direct motivation is how to adapt the humanities and social sciences to the great changes in the world and the new development for mankind.Therefore,aiming at the great changes of the present era,solving the new problems of human beings,and promoting and reshaping the new development of humanities and social sciences in higher education are undoubtedly the fundamental demands of the construction of new liberal arts.In order to further clarify the internal logic of the construction of new liberal arts,this paper mainly discusses the four dimensions of the construction of new liberal arts:the value of cross-boundary integration,the value of internal driving force,the value of new knowledge acquisition,and the core meaning and methodological principles of the construction of new liberal arts.
