Integrating Translation Studies with Communication Studies:On the Theoretical Path of Foreign Oriented Translational Communication Studies of Chinese Discourse
International communication is inseparable from foreign oriented translation. However, the international communication studies and foreign oriented translation studies of Chinese discourse have long been advancing separately within either the framework of communication studies or the framework of translation studies.Furthermore, there exists endogenous contradiction between the thinking models of the two,i.e.,the former is nation-state oriented, while the latter is human-globe oriented, which greatly weakens the practical effectiveness of related academic research. The fundamental reason for such a situation is that the international communication and foreign oriented translation of Chinese discourse are regarded as two independent behaviors and studied separately.Taking international communication and foreign oriented translation as an organic unity, and carrying out research on foreign oriented translational communication of Chinese discourse from the perspective of international communication will broaden the theoretical vision of international communication studies and strengthen the practical effectiveness of its academic research, which will ultimately contribute to enhancing the international influence of Chinese discourse.
