The Operation of Crescent School Publications under the Publishing Model of"Tongren"
There are three types of publishing models for"tongren"modem Chinese journals:self funded publication,relying on merchants to run journals,and relying on political parties to run journals.The crescent school tended to be the second mode of publication management.Faced with the fierce competition of newspapers and magazines in the 1920s and 1930s,the crescent school publications adopted a series of operational strategies,including publication planning,marketing strategies,publishing and distribution methods,which not only constrained the crescent school literature,but also shaped it in a tangible way.
