Review the Debate about Value Relevance and Value Free——Based on Intrinsic Value
Weber puts forward the ideas of value relevance and value free,provoking a long-term academic debate.These two aspects are not a paradox,because the former mainly refers to the nature of object of social sciences and the latter to the method and attitude.As a matter of fact,the true problem is how to deal with the relationship between the value free and responsibility ethics.The intrinsic value theory,advocated by ecology,claims that we shall return to the original place of the selection advocated by Weber and then face chaotic reality as its own terms,relating"fact"to"value"and"is"to"should";thus it provides a valuable scheme to solve Weber's problem.
