This study analyses the characteristics and influencing factors of housing rental choices among youth groups in rental housing market in Xiamen.It comparatively examines the distribution of housing supply,rent pricing mechanisms,and characteristics of the built environment of different supplying entities.The survey indicates that there are discernible variations in the rental housing products offered by different suppliers.And,there is a notable distinction among young tenants in rental housing.The leasing choices of young tenants of long-stay flats are primarily influenced by geographic location and commercial facilities,whereas young tenants of public rental housing are more concerned about the rent level.The study discovers that rental housing from various suppliers creates two rental housing options:"commuting time priority"and"living space priority".Additionally,it separates youth groups at different life stages based on self-centred and predisposing factors.The findings suggest that tenants experience varying levels of work-life separation and commuting satisfaction.
