The issue of how Confucianism was developed in the Polar Silk Road takes a fascinating role in the emerging subjects of constructing Chinese independent knowledge system as well as the Sino-European faith interactions. As distinct with previous theoretical paradigms, the Nordic context concerns more about the metaphysical dialogue between the Confucian faith and their native Lutheran protestant theology. As a mirror of reflecting Scandinavian Confucianism, the Finnish translation demonstrates a feature of theological interpre-tation of Confucianism which runs throughout the ecumenical practice of Nordic modern missionaries in China such as Kalle Korhonen and Toivo Koskikallio. However, this approach has gone beyond the traditional theo-logical framework and moves on to the inner doctrinal interpretation of Confucianism itself. This revivification of inner Confucian spiritual life reflects a complicated adjustment between conflicting values in the Confucian-Christian dialogue involving a systematic interaction between metaphysics, ethics as well as the related termi-nologies,thus offering a new theoretical perspective for constructing modern Chinese independent knowledge system and the communication practice of introducing Chinese philosophy to the European faith traditions.
