Biological characteristics of muskmelon fusarium pathogen and indoor screening of fungicides
The biological characteristics of muskmelon fusarium pathogen were studied and the preliminary screening of fungicides was conducted in a laboratory. The results showed that the suitable temperature for the mycelial growth was 5~35 ℃ and the best was 30 ℃.The thermal death temperature of the mycelia and conidia was 58 ℃.Alternation of light and dark could promote the spore production. The tests for the biochemical characteristics showed that Fusarium oxysporum(Schl.)f.sp.melonis was insensitive to malachite green and could utilize starch and nitrate nitrogen. The tests for the inhibiting effects of 9 fungicides on F.oxysporum f.sp.melonis indicated that carbendazim and flusilazole were the highest in toxicity and their EC_(50) was 2.2671 mg/L and 13.3418 mg/L,respectively.
