Research progress of two important virus diseases transmitted by insect vectors in tomato
In recent years,Tomato yellow leaf curl virus(TYLCV)and Tomato chlorosis virus(ToCV)have caused significant harm to tomato production,both of which are mainly transmitted through Bemisia tabaci.This article reviews the spread trends of TYLCV disease and ToCV disease,the characteristics of pathogens causing these two virus diseases and their differences in symptoms,the main vector insects that transmit these two viruses,the harm and research overview of B.tabaci vectors,the evolution and identification methods of B.tabaci biotypes,the interaction between B.tabaci and tomato viruses,and the prevention and control of B.tabaci vectors and tomato virus diseases,in order to provide scientific guidance for the prevention and control of tomato diseases and pests.
