Evaluation on the sunburn resistance of typical garden tree species in Chongqing
Under the background of climate change, the increase of global high temperature and heat wave has led to the increase of high temperature time and sunshine intensity in summer, and the problem of plant sunburn has intensified. However, there are few studies on the sunburn resistance of landscape plants at present.Taking Chongqing as an example, through the simulated light experiment, the indexes of sunburn resistance index, sunburn resistance degree, net photosynthetic rate and transpiration rate of 8 popular landscape trees in Chongqing were measured, and the sunburn resistance of landscape trees was comprehensively evaluated by principal component analysis. The results showed that the sunburn resistance of landscape plants could be evaluated from the morphological and physiological indexes.According to the score of resistance to sunburn,8 species of trees were categorized into three types:strong resistance to sunburn(Acer buergerianum,Cinnamomum camphora and Osmanthus fragrans var.thunbergii),general resistance to sunburn(Ginkgo biloba,A.mono and Acer palmatum),and weak resistance to sunburn(Acer palmatum and Osmanthus fragrans'Latifolius').
