French philosopher Paul Villilio argues that since entering the modern era, every leap in the speed of transporta-tion and communication has dramatically compressed human space-time,and reconstructed human modes of perception. In this process, movies and TV,which are born in the context of modern science and technology, emerge in a timely manner and become the perceptual logistics of regulating human space-time experience. In the context of light speed transmission in the digital age,space-time compression is further moving towards the situation of space-time folding, while short videos have grown into a new type of perceptual logistics in the digital media era, which transform the originally invisible into visible, and bring the audience an existential perceptual experience through embodied communication.Under the influence of big data and algorithms, short vid-eos may be reduced to a"statistical image",but the diversity of algorithms and the subjective initiative of user groups also provide enough space for creating a diverse and vivid cultural landscape of short videos.
