Study on the Preparation and Properties of High Performance Anti UV Flame Retardant Reinforced PBT Materials
Flame retardant polybutylene terephthalate(PBT)engineering plastic for outdoor use was prepared by melt blending of brominated epoxy and antimony trioxide by twin-screw extruder.The effects of different brominated flame re-tardants on the mechanical properties,flame retardancy and UV resistance of PBT engineering plastics were investigated,as well as the effects of antioxidant types and anti-UV additive amount on anti-UV properties of PBT engineering plastics.The results show that the mechanical properties,flame retardant properties and UV resistance of PBT engineering plastics reach the best when brominated epoxy is selected as the flame retardant and the addition amount is 12 parts.The UV re-sistance of PBT engineering plastics reaches the best when 626 is selected as the auxiliary antioxidant,1010 is selected as the main antioxidants,and the addition amount of anti UV agent is 0.4 parts.The PBT engineering plastic has good comprehensive mechanical properties(tensile and bending strengths are 150 MPa and 210 MPa,notched and unnotched impact strengths are 12.0 kJ/m2 and 65.0 kJ/m2,respectively),UV resistance and flame retardant properties,and its flame retardant grade is UL 94 V-0(0.8 mm).
