Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of Yifeng acupoint injection of dexamethason in treatment of sudden deafness. Methods One hundred and thirty-six patients with sudden deafness treated in outpatient clinic of Shanghai Seventh Hospital from September 2021 to September 2022 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group with 68 cases in each group. The conventional treatment was given to two groups;in addition, control group was given intravenous injection of dexamethasone, the study group was given Yifeng acupoint injection of dexamethasone. The improvement of hearing, tinnitus, and dizziness;the changes in blood pressure and blood sugar were documented and compared between two groups were compared 14 days after treatment.Serum endothelin(ET),nitric oxide(NO),and superoxide dismutase(SOD)levels were measured before and after treatment, and compare between the two groups. Results The total effective rates for hearing loss, tinnitus, and dizziness of the study group and control group were 88.24%,73.81%,93.1%,and 86.76%,75.68%,95%,respectively;there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in serum ET,NO,and SOD between the two groups(P>0.05).The fluctuations of blood pressure and blood glucose after treatment in the control group was higher than the treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion For the treatment of sudden deafness,Yifeng acupoint injection of dexamethasone has the same efficacy as intravenous injection of dexamethasone, but it has less side effects, and is worthy of clinical application.
