Carbon fiber-polyetheretherketone(CF-PEEK)is considered a highly promising implant material in the fields of orthopedics and dentistry due to its numerous outstanding properties,such as biocompatibility,X-ray transparency,and a high degree of compatibility with the elastic modulus of cortical bone.To enhance its biocompatibility and antimicrobial properties and improve its bonding capabilities with bone tissue,the surface modification for CF-PEEK has become a research hotspot.This article provides a comprehensive review of surface modification methods for CF-PEEK and explores the potential applications of these modifications in the fields of orthopedics and dental implants.
