Objective:To explore the clinical curative effect of acupuncture at acupoints along stomach meridian of foot-yangming on incomplete spinal cord injury dysfunction. Methods:A total of 78 patients with incomplete spinal cord injury dysfunction treated from April 2020 to April 2022 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 39 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with con-ventional drug therapy and rehabilitation training, while patients in the observation group were treated with acupuncture at the acupoints along stomach meridian of foot-yangming(Tianshu,Liangqiu,Fenglong and Shangjuxu)on the treatment ba-sis of the control group. The total effective rate of treatment, spinal cord injury rating scale(ASIA)neurological function as-sessment(motor and sensory)were compared between the two groups after treatment.Spinal cord independence(SCIM-Ⅲ),bladder function(micturition frequency and maximum daily micturition volume),pulmonary function(forced vital ca-pacity(FVC)and forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1))and quality of life(MLHFO score)were compared be-tween the two groups after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, between the two groups after the treatment the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,MS and ASIA scores in both groups were significantly increased(P<0.05),and the scores in the observa-tion group were more significantly increased than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the SCIM-Ⅲ scores of both groups were significantly increased(P<0.05),and the SCIM-Ⅲscore of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the frequency of urination decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and the frequency in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);the daily maximum urination volume increased significantly, and the improvement degree of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,FVC and FEV1 values in both groups were significantly in-creased(P<0.05),and FVC and FEV1 values in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the quality of life of patients in the two groups improved significantly, and the observation group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Conventional treatment combined with acu-puncture at acupoints along stomach meridian of foot-yangming can effectively treat incomplete spinal cord injury dysfunc-tion,significantly reduce the clinical symptoms and relieve the pain of patients.
