Clinical observation of 39 cases of acute non-specific low back pain treated by lumbar vertebra overall balance bone-setting
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of lumbar vertebra overall balance bone-setting in the treatment of acute non-specific low back pain(NLBP).Methods:A total of 39 patients with acute NLBP who met the inclusion criteria were selected from January 2023 to April 2023 for the first time at the Massage Clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. The patients were treated for 3 weeks with lumbar vertebra overall balance bone-setting.Visual analogue scale(VAS),Roroland Morris Dysfunction Questionnaire(RMDQ)and the activity of lumbar spine were evaluated be-fore treatment,3 weeks after treatment and 3 months after treatment. The overall clinical efficacy and recurrence rate after 3 months were also evaluated. Results:Three weeks after treatment and three months after completion of treatment, the VAS score and RMDQ score of patients were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the activity of lumbar spine was significantly higher than that before treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate was 100%,and the good improvement rate was 92.31%.The clinical curative effect was significant and the recovery rate was high. The patients were fol-lowed up three months after completion of treatment.Among them,2 patients had disease recurrence and improved significantly af-ter short-term treatment. No obvious adverse reactions occurred in all patients. Conclusion:Lumbar vertebra overall balance bone-setting is effective and safe for patients with acute NLBP,and the recurrence rate is low.
