Observation on the curative effect of acupuncture at Lv's pair acupoints on perimenopausal insomnia
Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of acupuncture at Lv's pair acupoints on perimenopausal insomnia(PMI).Methods:111 PMI patients were randomly divided into 3 groups with 37 cases in each group.Patients in the Lv's pair acupoints group(1 case dropped off)were treated with acupuncture on pair acupoints, and patients in the con-ventional acupuncture group were treated with acupuncture on routine acupoints for insomnia. The patients in the two groups were treated 3 times a week.Patients in the western medication group(excluding 1 case)were treated with oral combined estrogen tablets for once a day.The treatment course of 3 groups was 4 weeks. As the main curative effect index, the Pitts-burgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to evaluate the subjective sleep quality of the patients. As a secondary curative effect index, sleep process and sex hormone levels tested by polysomnography(PSG)were tested to monitor the objective sleep quality of patients. Results:Compared with those before treatment,PSQI scores of the 3 groups were all decreased af-ter treatment, and Lv's pair acupoints group score was lower than that of conventional acupuncture group and western medi-cation treatment group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The total effective rate of Lv's pair acupoints group was 91.7%,which was higher than that of conventional acupuncture group and western medication treatment group, and the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,PSG monitoring results showed that the sleep progress of pa-tients in the 3 groups was improved compared with that before treatment, and all indicators were improved.Especially, the indexes of the Lv's pair acupoints group were improved more obviously after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Lv's pair acupoints have more significant clinical efficacy in the treatment of PMI than conventional acupuncture and western medication, which is worthy of further research and application.
