Observation of the clinical effect of skin drainage in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of skin drainage in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:A total of 60 patients diagnosed with LDH in the Department Ⅲ of Encephalopathy of the Second Affiliated Hos-pital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine from October 2022 to October 2023 were randomly divided into a skin drain-age group and an acupuncture group, with 30 cases in each group. The patients in the acupuncture group were treated with ordinary acupuncture, and the patients in the skin drainage group were treated with skin drainage.Scraping therapy,blood-letting therapy and"Gong"-shaped acupuncture were used. Both groups were treated 5 times as a course of treatment, and a total of 2 courses of treatment were required. The Visual Analogue Score(VAS)and lumbar dysfunction index of Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)were used to evaluate the pain and lumbar function before and after treatment in the two groups, and the overall efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results:Compared with those before treatment,VAS scores were significantly decreased(P<0.05)and JOA scores were significantly increased after treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the degrees of VAS score reduction and JOA score increase in the skin drainage group were higher than those in the acupuncture group(P<0.05).The clinical efficacy in the skin drainage group was significantly better than that in the acupuncture group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Skin drainage is effective in the treatment of LDH.
