Effect of Yiqi Buxue Decoction combined with electric stimulation therapy on the rehabilitation and safety of pelvic floor dysfunction
Objective:To explore the effect of Yiqi Buxue Decoction combined with electric stimulation therapy on the recovery time,improvement of pelvic floor muscle and safety of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.Methods:60 pa-tients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction admitted to the Third People's Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Tra-ditional Chinese Medicine from August 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the study objects.The patients were divided into two groups according to random number table method.Patients in the control group(30 cases)received electrical stimulation therapy,and patients in the observation group(30 cases)received Yiqi Buxue Decoction combined with elec-trical stimulation therapy.The efficacy,pelvic floor muscle strength,recovery time,adverse reactions after intervention,and sexual function and quality of life scores before and after intervention were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the total effective rate of the control group(73.33％),the total effective rate of the observation group(93.33％)was significantly increased,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the reha-bilitation time of the control group(57.26±6.68)d,the rehabilitation time of the observation group(48.95±6.84)d was significantly shorter,and the difference was statistically significant(t=4.761,P=0.000).The proportion of pelvic floor muscle strength grade Ⅲ and above in the observation group(93.33％)was higher than that in the control group(70.00％),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.455,P=0.020).There was no statistically significant dif-ference in sexual function scores between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention,the sexual func-tion scores of the two groups were significantly improved,and scores in the observation group was higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05,P<0.01).There was no statistic significance in the quality of life scores between the two groups before intervention(t=0.587,P=0.559).After intervention,the quality of life scores of the two groups were significantly decreased(t=6.773,P=0.000,t=2.382,P=0.021),and scores in the observa-tion group was lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(t=4.778,P=0.000).There was no statistic significance in adverse reactions between the two groups(χ2=0.517,P=0.472).Conclusion:Yiqi Buxue Decoction combined with electrical stimulation therapy can shorten the rehabilitation time of patients with pelvic floor dys-function,improve pelvic floor muscle strength and sexual function,and further improve the quality of life of patients,with few adverse reactions and high safety.
