Observation on the curative effect of high intensity focused ultrasound combined with Wenjing Tongzu Formula in the treatment of adenomyosis
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)com-bined with drugs in the treatment of adenomyosis.Methods:A total of 66 adenomyosis patients with cold-coagulation and blood-stasis syndrome who met the inclusion criteria were collected and randomly divided into western medicine group and combined treatment group,33 cases in each group.Patients in the western medicine group were treated with gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist GnRH-a after HIFU treatment,and patients in the combined treatment group were treated with retention enema with Wenjing Tongzu Formula on the basis of western medicine group.The uterus and lesion volume,dys-menorrhea score,menstrual volume score and TCM syndrome score of the two groups were compared before and after treat-ment,and the accumulated adverse reactions during treatment and within 6 months after treatment were recorded.Results:The volumes of uterus and lesion in both groups were significantly reduced at 3 and 6 months after treatment,and the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).The volumes of uterus and lesion at 6 months after treatment were significantly smaller than that at 3 months after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months and 6 months of treatment,the reduction rate of uterus and lesion volumes in the combined group was higher than that in the west-ern medicine group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Dysmenorrhea scores,menstrual volume scores and TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly lower 6 months after treatment than those before treat-ment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The reduction rate of dysmenorrhea score,menstrual vol-ume score and TCM syndrome score 6 months after treatment in combined treatment group was higher than that in western medicine group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement efficiency rate of TCM syndrome was 96.66%in the combined treatment group and 86.66%in the western medicine group.Comparison of the total curative effect of TCM between the two groups showed statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions during HIFU operation was similar between the two groups,with no statistical significance(P>0.05).After 6 months of treatment,the cumulative incidence of low estrogen reaction in the western medicine group was higher than that in the com-bined treatment group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:HIFU+GnRH-a+Wenjing Tongzu Formula has definite efficacy and good safety in the treatment of adenomyosis.It has significant efficacy in relieving dysmenorrhea symptoms,reducing menstrual volume and improving TCM syndromes,and has low adverse reactions,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
