Cervical vertigo is a cluster of symptoms primarily characterized by dizziness due to factors such as fatigue or injury to the muscles and fascia around the neck,disordered or displaced atlantoaxial joints and other small cervical joints,degeneration or protrusion of cervical discs,which stimulate or compress the sympathetic nerves and vertebral arter-ies.It is mainly manifested by discomfort in the neck region along with recurrent and intermittent dizziness,often accompa-nied by nausea,vomiting,forehead and eyebrow pain,tinnitus,blurred vision,palpitations,and chest tightness.Its inci-dence is high,the etiology and pathogenesis are complex and not fully understood,and it tends to recur,severely impacting the patient's quality of life.Professor Chen Jiaping has been engaged in clinical work in traumatology and rehabilitation for nearly 30 years,focusing primarily on the clinical applications of needle-knife therapy and acupuncture-massage.With rich experience,he has developed unique insights into treating cervical vertigo.This paper introduces relevant clinical cases and summarizes Professor Chen Jiaping's clinical experience in treating cervical vertigo based on the method of soothing and promoting Shaoyang,providing ideas and guidance for its treatment.
