Discussion on the acupoint selection patterns in acupuncture treatment for declined ovarian reserve
Objective:To analyze the acupoint selection patterns in acupuncture treatment for declined ovarian reserve(DOR)using data mining techniques. Methods:We conducted a computerized search of CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,PubMed,and Web of Science databases from their inception to November 31,2023,for articles related to acupuncture treatment for DOR.An Excel 365 database was established to collect data on acupoint frequency, meridian attribution, specific acupoint classification, and intervention protocols.IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0,Cytoscape 3.9.1,and IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 were used for association rule analysis,co-occurrence network analysis, and cluster analysis of acupoints,respectively.Re-sults:A total of 56 articles were included, covering 76 acupuncture prescriptions and 60 acupoints. The most frequently used acupoints were Guanyuan,Sanyinjiao, and Zusanli. The core acupoint combination was Guanyuan-Sanyinjiao.The most commonly used meridians were the conception vessel, spleen meridian, stomach meridian, bladder meridian, and kidney meridian.Specific acupoints frequently used included confluent points,five-shu points, and front-mu points.Clus-ter analysis yielded two effective clusters:Cluster 1 included Qihai,Guanyuan,Daheng,Zusanli,Guilai, and Zhongji;Cluster 2 included Xuehai,Zigong,Taichong,Taixi,Sanyinjiao,Shenshu,Ciliao, and Baihui. The most common inter-vention protocol was electroacupuncture combined with Chinese medicine, and acupuncture plus Chinese medicine had the highest overall effectiveness rate. Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment for DOR is based on localized acupuncture points and specific points, focusing on Chong Ren,kidney, spleen and liver co-regulation,and is often combined with other therapies such as internal administration of Chinese medicine, moxibustion, puncture and cupping, acupoint plastering and acupoint catgut embedding.
