Visualized analysis of research literature on acupuncture treatment for chronic atrophic gastritis from 1994 to 2024
Objective:To apply CiteSpace software to perform a visualized analysis of the literature related to the treat-ment of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)with acupuncture included in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)from 1994-2024,and to explore the research hotspots,application prospects and future development trends of acupuncture for CAG.Methods:Using the core journal database of CNKI as the source of data,we analyzed relevant literature on acu-puncture treatment for CAG from 1994 to 2024 using CiteSpace 6.2.R6 software.The analysis included annual publication volume,authors,research institutions,and keywords.Results:Since 1994,the annual publication volume of literature re-lated to acupuncture treatment for CAG showed a slowly fluctuating upward trend,with an increase in the number of articles published in this field after 2003.Three core teams formed around Chang Xiaorong,Zhu Hong,and Wu Huangan,with a high volume of publications.The top three institutions by publication volume were Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine,Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine,and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.There was no networked collabora-tion model among different institutions,and there was a lack of academic exchange and resource sharing between them.The top three high-frequency keywords were"warm acupuncture,""rat,"and"Zusanli."Keywords formed 11 clusters covering five aspects:treatment methods,acupoint selection,herbal medicine treatment,disease classification,and types of litera-ture studies.Research hotspots included the regulation mechanism of gastric mucosal cell apoptosis,improvement of gastric body circulation,improvement of local metabolic function,comprehensive treatment models,as well as early diagnosis and prevention of CAG.Conclusion:Research in the field of acupuncture treatment for CAG needs to strengthen cooperation between individuals and institutions,further standardize diagnostic and therapeutic approaches,and establish a reasonable treatment system.Deeper-level research should be conducted on existing treatment methods to explore novel therapies.
