Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of Danzhi Jiangtang Capsules combined with dorzagliatin in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus with Qi-Yin deficiency syndrome.Methods:Thirty type 2 diabetes mellitus patients who visited the Endocrinology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine between No-vember 1,2022,and December 31,2022,were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,with 15 pa-tients in each group.On the basis of symptomatic treatments such as lipid-lowering and blood pressure-lowering,patients in the control group received oral administration of dorzagliatin at 75 mg per dose,twice daily.The patients in the treatment group were treated with Danzhi Jiangtang Capsules orally,2.0 g/time,3 times/d on the basis of the treatment of the control group.Both groups were treated for 12 weeks.Changes in fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial glucose(2 hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),and fasting insulin(FINS)levels of the patients in the two groups were observed,and homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),and insulin sensitivity index(ISI)were calculated to evaluate the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine.The levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate ami-notransferase(AST),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(Scr)and adverse reactions were monitored.Results:Compared with those before treatment,FPG,2 hPG,HbA1c,FINS and HOME-IR were decreased and ISI was increased in both groups after treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment,FPG,2 hPG and HbAlc of patients in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and the total effective rate was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05,P<0.01).No adverse reactions oc-curred in both groups after treatment.Conclusion:Danzhi Jiangtang Capsules combined with dorzagliatin can effectively control blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with Qi-Yin deficiency syndrome,promote pancreatic function recovery,improve clinical symptoms,and demonstrate a better safety.
