Method for Estimating the Transmitted Force of Vibration Isolation Systems for Marine Generators
This paper proposes a universal and convenient method for estimating the excitation forces and moments of diesel engine.Vibration frequency response(i.e.acceleration sensors in experimental measurements)is used to obtain the vibration spectrum and phase of diesel engine, and MATLAB mathematical software is used to establish mathematical models of base excitation forces and moments, thus to estimate the lateral, longitudinal, and vertical excitation forces or transmission forces and moments of the engine sets in the isolation system. The experiments found that the signal-to-noise ratio during the measurement process has a significant impact on the estimation of the excitation and transmission forces of the engine, especially the low-frequency signal-to-noise ratio, which is the main source of measurement error. This simple method for estimating excitation forces and moments can serve as a reference for the study of multi-dimensional and multi-directional coupled vibrations in diesel engines.
