A Research on Replacement of Traditional Stiffened Plate Deck with Metal Sandwich Structure
In order to replace the traditional reinforced structure deck with a metal sandwich structure deck,finite element software is used to calculate the failure modes of the metal sandwich structure,and the design requirements criteria for the metal sandwich structure are found.Under the premise of meeting the criteria,four different optimization principles are used as selecting conditions,and the overall Euler stress is compared with the enumeration method,thus the best metal sandwich structure alternative solution is obtained.In replacing traditional stiffened plate structures,three principles are proposed for the design of basic units of metal sandwich plates based on the engineering requirements such as weight reduction and height reduction,of which the premise is to make the Euler stress maximized.Principle 1 does not reduce height and weight;principle 2 reduces weight but not height;and principle 3 reduces height but not weight.The stiffened plate with a plate thickness of 10 mm and a spherical flat steel type of 10#was are taken as the research object to obtain the optimal solutions under each design principle.The research helps to find the best solution for replacing traditional stiffened plates of different sizes with metal sandwich structures.
