Analysis of Dynamic Response of Large-diameter Spool Piece Hoisting System
A project in the Atlantic Ocean is taken as the subject and the specialized finite element software Orcaflex for marine engineering is used to calculate and analyze the effects of ocean currents, waves and lowering speeds on the tension of each suspension cable and the effects on the stress, strain and impact force of expansion bend pipeline during the process of lowering a large diameter spool piece into the water through the splash zone. The result shows that the force trend of each suspension cable is consistent during the water entry process, the maximum tension of the suspension cable happens in the period above the water surface, and the tension fluctuation of the suspension cable is greatly affected by waves.Increasing of lowering speed will produce greater pipeline slamming force and more severe sling shaking, and the position where the maximum slamming force occurs will change with the change of the lowering speed. The influence of ocean currents, waves, and lowering speeds on the maximum stress and strain amplitude of expansion bend pipelines is relatively small, mainly reflected in the dynamic response fluctuations of pipelines and slings.
