Research on Arc Fault Detection and Hazards in Ship Power System
In response to the increasing number of ship fire accidents caused by arc faults onboard electric propulsion ship,resulting in casualties and property losses,this paper discusses the causes of ship arc faults and analyzes the time-domain and frequency-domain characteristics of arc faults in AC/DC and series parallel circuits.The existing arc models and arc fault detection technologies are compared and analyzed.The calculation method and the arc hazard level classification for ship power system arc fault hazard analysis based on IEEE1584 and NFPA 70E standards are provided.On this basis,combined with actual project cases,the hazards of electric arcs are evaluated and analyzed,and reliable protection measures are proposed.
