A Research on Integration of DP-3 Closed-loop Power Grid and Energy Storage Battery System
A drilling vessel under construction is taken as the research object to produce the top-level architecture design of a hybrid power system integrated with the DP-3 medium voltage closed-loop power grid and the energy storage battery system.In order to meet the relevant regulations of Det Norske Veritas(DNV)and China Classification Society(CCS),a selective protection scheme is reasonably put forward for DP-3 closed-loop power grid to solve the problem in the redundancy design of the DP-3 closed-loop hybrid power system and the problem that of the maximum failure mode of the system could not be exceeded after a single point failure occurs.A functional integration scheme is designed with the fast charging and discharging batteries for DP-3 closed-loop power grid and energy storage battery system to make the power grid quickly respond to the load changes,reduce the frequency of start and stop,and achieve the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction.The integration scheme is the first to apply to a real ship in China,which could be a reference for the design and construction of similar ships.
