Economic Feasibility Study on Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered Inland Container Ship
This article analyzes the policy and economic feasibility of hydrogen fuel cell powered ships.Taking a 300 TEU hydrogen fuel cell powered inland container ship as an example, this paper conducts a full life cycle economic analysis including the total investment, total cost, and total profit of the project, and compares its economy with that of a similar pure lithium battery powered ship. The results indicate that the cost of hydrogen required for the operation of hydrogen fuel cells is the main factor affecting the profitability of ship projects. With the continuous development of fuel cell technology and the gradual improvement of hydrogen fuel supply system, fuel cells will have broader application prospects in the field of ship power.
