Compliance Design of Construction and Outfitting Equipment for Ships Transiting Panama Canal
Based on the compliance design experience of ships passing through the Panama Canal,the construction and outfitting equipment requirements of the ships in the canal have been sorted out to help China's shipping industry better utilize the canal.Research has found that the relevant requirements are mainly reflected in the fact that ships transiting the canal should not cause harm to the lock,the construction of the ship should match the working mode of the traction locomotives on both sides of the lock,and should not endanger the safety of pilots or hinder their work.The relevant design experience can provide reference for the design,construction,and conversion of various ships passing through the Panama Canal,such as liquefied natural gas transport ships and container ships.
