Hydraulic Head Height in Hydrostatic Pressure Test of Ships under Different Media and Optimization of Test Pipe
Taking a 114 000 DWT Afra crude oil tanker as an example,by analyzing the definition of static water pressure test and its head in the specifications, based on the different navigation areas of the ship, this study investigates the differences in the head height of the static water pressure test of the ship in different media of fresh water and seawater, providing guidance for shipyards to conduct ship static water pressure tests.By analyzing the positioning and diameter of the air pipe in the hydrostatic test chamber, combined with the construction conditions on site at the shipyard, the universality of the test pipe section is improved by standardizing the length of the test pipe section.By optimizing the diameter of the experimental pipe section to reduce structural weight,it is easier to carry out on-site construction and installation. The optimization results can be used by shipyards in hydrostatic tests to improve the efficiency of the test.
