Images of Hexi Corridor and Its Social Life in Tang Poetry
In the era of lacking image records,Tang poetry recorded the natural and human landscapes of the Hexi Corridorof the Silk Road,the wars that broke out in the region,and the changes in the administrative ownership of the region.Tang poetry stored the most sincere feelings of those who have lived in the area and those who yearn for it.Hexi Corridor is of great spatial significance to the poetry of the Tang dynasty:It provides a unique object for Tang poetry to copy natural scenery and to write about cultural landscapes;The Hexi Corridor is geographically connected to the Western Regions,and the wars happened there became an important part of the Tang poetry.The works related to this theme were the most boiling blood of the Tang people,which contained the national spirit of solidarity,the personal feelings of building meritorious achievements,and the great love that transcends the limitations of geographical space.A series of music,such as Liangzhou Poetry,Ganzhou Poetry,Yangguan Poetry,all of which nurtured by Hexi Corridor and integrated with poetry,containg lingering affection or full of majestic aspirations,is a very charming part of Tang poetry.
