After more than a thousand years of development and evolution from Wei and Jin Dynasties to the present,the textual form and content of Mulian stories have been greatly enriched and developed with the accumulation of historical culture.Through the linear explanation and comparison of Mulian stories in different periods,this paper combs the inheritance and development of Mulian stories from the previous generations under different historical backgrounds,and at the same time,delves into the cultural content of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism as well as the rise and fall of multi-culture in the text.This paper discusses and studies the development and changes of Mulian stories in the past thousand years from the perspective of historical accumulation and multi-culture.
