Effect of acupuncture on gastrointestinal function of patients after laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Objective:To observe the effect of perioperative acupuncture on gastrointestinal function recovery in patients after laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC),in order to verify the effect of acupuncture in reducing postoperative gastrointestinal complications and improving prognosis. Methods:A total of 70 patients who underwent elective LC were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group,35 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)management based on the routine therapy, and the patients in the treatment group received perioperative acupuncture based on the intervention of the control group. The clinical efficacy after surgery of the two groups was evaluated. The postoperative first exhaust and defecation time, and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores of postoperative pain were compared between the two groups. At 6,24,48 and 72 h after surgery, the incidences of abdominal distension, nausea, and vomiting were recorded and compared. The time of drain removal, number of days of antibiotic use after surgery, number of days of postoperative hospitalization, and the total hospitalization cost were compared between the two groups,in order to evaluate the prognosis of the patients.Results:①The total clinical effective rates of the two groups were 100%,and the effect of the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).②The postoperative first exhaust and defecation time of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).③ At 24 h after surgery, the incidences of abdominal distension and vomiting in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).At 48 h after surgery, the incidences of nausea and vomiting in the treatment group were also lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).④At 6,24,48 and 72 h after surgery, the pain VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).⑤The time of drain removal, number of days of antibiotic use after surgery, and number of days of postoperative hospitalization in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the total hospitalization cost of the treatment group was less than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture in perioperative period of LC can reduce the incidences of postoperative complications, relieve the postoperative pain, and promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after LC.
