Research advances on pathogenesis of mucosal immunity and pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine for retrograde urinary tract infection induced by pathogenic bacteria
Mucosal immune regulation plays a crucial role in the process of pathogenic bacteria invading urinary tract to induce urinary tract infection.Repeated impaired mucosal barrier, dysfunction of mucosal-associated invariant T cell, pathogenic bacteria-induced immune response and immune escape induce recurrent urinary tract infection. As a recurrent and refractory disease, the efficacy of simple anti-infective treatment is limited to urinary tract infection. After literature search,it was found that many active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicines can exert targeted pharmacological effect on it,showing good anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects in vivo and in vitro. The purpose of this paper is to review the mucosal immune mechanism of urinary tract infection, screen out traditional Chinese medicines and active ingredients with clear pharmacological effects for the prevention and treatment of urinary tract infection, and summarize the relevant mechanisms of the active ingredients, with a view to providing research ideas and medication references for the prevention and treatment of urinary tract infection in the future.
