Preliminary exploration of theory and practice of intraluminal acupoints
The theory of acupuncture posits that acupoints, located on the body surface, serve dual functions in both diagnosis and treatment.Based on clinical practice and observations,it has been found that the"airway carina"exhibits similar dual diagnostic and therapeutic effects as surface acupoints.Consequently, the concept of"intraluminal acupoints"and"intraluminal(interventional)acupuncture"has been proposed. This hypothesis requires further clinical validation and theoretical development.
