Analysis of the Innovative Development Strategies of Japanese Higher Education in the Past Twenty Years
The Japanese higher education system is currently facing new challenges brought about by economic and social development,especially the demand for highly skilled professionals brought about by the fourth industrial revolution and the dilemma of educational development caused by social issues such as"childlessness"and"aging".This paper analyzes the development environment and the current situation of Japanese higher education by exploring the reform and innovative development strategies of Japanese higher education in the past two decades,and delves into the educational laws and development logic contained therein.The paper discusses four key aspects of comprehensive development strategy,science education and humanities strategy,internationalization strategy,and social service strategy.It selects typical representatives,explores the innovative measures and characteristic advantages of them,draws relevant experience and inspiration:emphasize the development of localized higher education and plan the layout with structural thinking;establish a cooperative education alliance among universities to stimulate a win-win"alliance effect";establish the concept of interdisciplinary education and face the innovative needs of society;vigorously develop international collaborative education and enhance the international competitiveness of talents;build multiple types of social service platforms based on inter-regional cooperation bases.
