Research on Internationalization at Home of Higher Education in the United Arab Emirate
Internationalization at home of higher education is an innovative practice model for cultivating international talents in the era of globalization.Based on the needs of economic transition,for the purpose of meeting the higher education needs of a large number of expatriates,promoting gender equality in higher education opportunities,and creating a regional education hub based on skilled labor,the UAE has actively promoted internationalization at home of higher education.By attracting world-renowned universities to set up branch schools and introducing foreign high-quality educational resources,the UAE has promoted the improvement of the quality and international visibility of higher education,and also enhanced the internationalization level of students,thus promoting the development and transformation of the economy.At the same time,there are also problems such as the impact of overseas branch schools on the localization of the UAE and the inadequate quality supervision of overseas branch schools.In view of this,in the process of promoting internationalization at home in cooperation with other countries,China needs to further improve the quality supervision system of Sino-foreign cooperative universities and correctly deal with the relationship between internationalization and localization.
