Strategies and Paths for Constructing Sustainable University:Taking the University of Paris Dauphine-PSL in France as an Example
Constructing sustainable universities has become an important issue in the higher education transformations around the world.Responding to the new requirements for the sustainable development(SD)of higher education in the Anthropocene era,France has incorporated sustainable university construction into its national ecological transformation strategy,which has received positive responses from universities.As a model of sustainable university development in France,University of Paris Dauphine-PSL has proposed a SD strategy grounded in social and environmental responsibility,with teaching,research and organizational operation as key pillars.Paris-Dauphine is committed to SD by improving its"university social responsibility"governance system,launching diversified SD education programs,optimizing the environmental impact of its operations,and encouraging students and faculty to participate in sustainable campus development.Its strategic plan and action path provide valuable insights for China to improve university governance models,cultivate interdisciplinary talents with a strong sense of responsibility toward sustainable development,and creating a campus ecology that promotes multi-stakeholder participation.
