Analysis of the Correlation between Evaluation Indicators and Goals of Sustainable Development Education:A Case Study of the U.S.Sustainability Tracking,Assessment,and Rating System
The assessment of education for sustainable development plays a crucial role in the implementation of sustainable development education.This article conducts a content co-occurrence and structural mapping analysis between the Sustainability Tracking,Assessment,and Rating System(STARS),introduced by AASHE in the United States and widely applied globally,and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).The analysis reveals that the STARS comprehensively covers all 17 SDGs,with most indicators strongly co-occur with the SDGs,thus facilitating the achievement of sustainable development goals to a considerable extent.The co-occurrence intensity of STARS for grand social goals,basic sustainable development facilities,health security and productive economic factors,reflecting,to a certain extent,this highlights the characteristic of"people-oriented".However,there is still a structural misalignment with societal goals,indicating a necessity for further exploration into contextualized indicator construction.
