Trends in Internal Governance of Organized Research in Foreign Universities:Based on the Investigation of Major Developed Countries
The in-depth development of the technological revolution and industrial transformation has introduced new requirements for higher education institutions,particularly in terms of improving internal governance and accelerating the transformation of research paradigms and organizational models.This article examines the internal governance practices of organized research at universities in the United States,Japan,Switzerland,and the United Kingdom,identifying the following trends:enhancing top-level design to facilitate the smooth implementation of organized research within universities;adopting full-process research management to ensure the effective operation of the organized research system;and establishing incentive and evaluation mechanisms to promote the sustained development of organized research.Based on these findings,the article offers recommendations for optimizing the internal governance mechanisms of organized research in Chinese universities,focusing on top-level design,management systems,and support mechanisms.
