Formation and Quantitative Analysis on Amygdalin in Prunus Armeniaca L.under Different Combination Conditions
Combination, the main mode of prescription of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM),is considered as an important way of toxicity reduction and pharmacological effect improvement.Amygdalin is the toxicity (medical effect) component in Prunus armeniaca L.Epimerization of amygdalin occurred in the decoction of P.armeniaca.Chiral drugs can produce different activities and toxicities. This paper aimed to investigate the influence on amygdalin formation by different P.armeniaca herb couples in order to reveal the scientific connotation of its combinations.P.armeniaca was used as the main drug.High performance liquid chromatography coupled with diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) was used in the quantitative analysis of L-amygdalin and D-amygdalin content changes and relative epimeric trend from the water decoction. The results showed that combination difference had significant impact on epimerization of amygdalins.Epimerization (L-type/D-type) coefficient had close relation with the combination environment. It was concluded that alkaline was an important chemical factor in epimerization of amygdalin, which conformed to principles of related chemical reactions. This article provided an evidence for the scientific study on combination of P.armeniaca.
